I’ve been hearing talk about organizations being “too big”, resulting in challenges with internal alignment, communications, slow turnaround times, etc.
To all those, I say:
Go Talk to a Blue Whale!
A blue whale doesn’t need half an hour to change course, it just changes course! It doesn’t have to wait a week before all Blue Whale Business Units receive, assimilate and integrate the message to dive and feed, it just dives and feeds!
How is Shared Purpose in your organization? How engaged are ALL your staff? Is your nervous system in good working order? Start thinking about your organization as a living organism, not an inorganic organization. You’ll start breathing life into your people, and all stakeholders will be the better for it!
