I read this morning a short passage from Jack Weatherford’s “Genghis Khan and the making of the modern world”. It was taken from Chapter 3 and was about some aspects of Mongol Law, especially about how the rulers themselves were subject to it. Did you think the Mongols under Genghis Khan were savage, bloodthirsty brutes not civilized enough to have rule of law? Well, perhaps you might like to think again.
