Reading “Good work and good works” by CS Lewis.

I came across this essay by CS Lewis while listening to something else online and determined immediately to get a copy in print. Well, electronic print, that is. I discovered that this essay, “Good work and good works” was available together with the ebook version of “Screwtape proposes a toast” and purchased a copy. I have read this essay silently and aloud quite a few times, and each time I find that I like it more and more. I intend to write a short post about it after today to record some of my thoughts about it. One of those thoughts which flew into my mind quickly was when Steve Jobs was quoted about being able to do great work.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”

~ Steve Jobs~

It made me wonder whether Steve Jobs had ever read anything that CS Lewis wrote. If you like it, and know someone who could use Read Aloud practice, send that person my way!
